Add-ons: drone video, haircut, rooftop barbecue

Things we can set up for your day. Tell us which one you want when you book.

  • Drone video The drone goes up over the hill with you in the frame. Not a shot you can get from the ground, and the video is yours the same day.
  • Haircut at the barbershop The same chair we sit in. Fade, line-up, and the blond dye if you want the cut you see all over the hill.
  • Dia de cria We close the day on our own rooftop, grill lit, city below. Dia de cria is what we call a day lived like someone who grew up here.

We were in two minds about doing a favela tour, but knowing that we were being showed around by two people who grew up in Rocinha and still live there [...] put our minds at ease. [...] We watched a traditional capoeira performance as part of a social project, got to play a basket ball game, share a beer on a local rooftop trying Rochinq special beer and even got a favela hair cut! [...] We felt we were hanging out with friends for the day.

Great individuals, both of the cousins are genuinely kind and compassionate humans. I witnessed many instances of this on our tour, they picked stuff up for an elderly lady, high fives the kids and gave them a trinket, talked with and hugged many people. [...] I came away with many thoughts, and it was a 10/10 tour! We at no time felt unsafe, the cousins walked one in front one behind us the whole time.

The question everyone asks

Is it safe?

Yes. We live in Rocinha and we know every corner and every person on the way. You walk with locals who are respected here, we go only where and when it's calm, and we stay with you the whole time. More questions are answered on the home page.
